Indian SSB bars entry of freights re-routed to Kakadvitta from Birgunj

Cargo trucks that were re-routed to Kakadvitta entry point from Birgunj have been halted at Panitanki, on the Indian side, due to Indian Border Security Force (SSB) tightening the security. The Birgunj-Raxual border point that opened on 5 am this morning, has been blocked again after the SSB allowed the agitating protesters into the Dasgaja area (no man’s land) of the Nepal-India border. The cargo trucks were re-routed after failing to enter Nepal through the Birgunj border. The Indian SSB have tightened the security along various entry points for over six weeks.
