Many people decide to pull of their tooth instead of curing it while having a severe ache which makes people frustrated too. They later regret when discomfort and problems start to arise because of the missing tooth. According to Oral health care 2012-2013 1-4th of citizens have oral discomfort and problems. It is better to preserve the teeth given by nature. But in case it is important to remove the teeth, it is better to replace it.Why to keep artificial teeth? Artificial teeth is required to help in chewing, look more attractive, not letting other teeth get damaged, and to save from the discomfort of speaking. There are many ways to keep and artificial teeth. Replaceable teeth for patients who have lost all their teeth, replace able and irreplaceable for patients who have lost few teeth.
In a study done in 2014 in Nepal 3 hundred 35 people have replaceable artificial teeth, 1 hundred 35 have irreplaceable teeth and 15 have both of them. For those who have lost few teeth there are two options in fixed tooth too. First and more popular one is artificial tooth which is kept with the support of the other natural teeth and the second one is implanting teeth.
Looking at the history of dental science the history of implant is very old. In the phase of dental care in the human civilization first one was oral surgery and second was implants. Many research found that a kind of implant was invented 600 years ago. Since the old method was very slow and not so advanced later modern dental science developed it in a very different way.
Dental implant is made up of a compound named titanium and it is attached to the jaw through surgery. It can be easily transplanted. This method does not require reducing other healthy teeth where as another option natural teeth have to be shaped as required.
